Hi, I’m Britteny Black, founder of Barejoyy. I was born in Largo, Florida, and raised in Chesapeake, Virginia, with African American and Jamaican West Indian roots. My family and faith have always shaped the path I walk today, and my children—my loves, my heart—are the reason this journey began.

In 2021, my son had a severe mosquito allergy reaction, and nothing in stores seemed to help. So, I rolled up my sleeves, went into the kitchen, and created my own botanical mist. Guided by God, it worked even better than anything I had tried before. That moment sparked the vision for Barejoyy and set me on a journey I could never have imagined. God has led me to create Barejoyy’s pillars—skincare, apparel, Rooted & Rising, Yoked, and Life’s a Latte—based on my experiences and what He knew I could offer the world. Skincare was inspired by love for my children. Apparel is designed to help people feel comfortable, confident, and unapologetically themselves—all while pointing back to Christ and giving Him the glory.

Through Rooted & Rising, I aim to create a sisterhood where women feel seen, valued, and empowered—just as I once experienced support during times I had nothing. Yoked is about meaningful connections, friendships, covenant love, and supporting others in chasing their passions and dreams. Life’s a Latte lets me share my journey, lessons, and encouragement, helping others navigate life’s chaos with Christ at the center embracing self-love, motherhood, singlehood, relationships, and authentic living.

At the heart of everything I do is community, love, and the desire to uplift and inspire. Barejoyy is the culmination of divine moments and inspirations a reflection of faith, family, and a commitment to creating experiences, apparel, and tools that empower and bring joy. This is my calling, and I am unapologetically stepping into it, giving all glory to God.
